Rick Perry's dominance has become so commonplace in just a few short days that today's Gallup poll is practically a yawner.
He dominates overall, he cleans up with Tea Partiers, he nearly matches Mitt with non-Tea Partiers, and people motivated by the economy, by government spending, and by social values all want him as their next President. Yada yada yada.
We'll be getting this kind of news until at least the next debate.
But did anyone notice how Ron Paul fared against Michele Bachmann? Look at the two charts below, the first of which has to do with Tea Party/non-Tea Party support, and the second with supporters by main area of interest.
In terms of totals, Paul outperforms Bachmann on the first, and on the second, he beats her overall including social/moral values voters!
Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry are splitting roughly the same vote, so it isn't surpising that Ron Paul beat one of them.
He's seen as a principled man, so he can find favour with people looking for solid evidence of personal integrity in a wicked world.
He still isn't going anywhere though.
