Ricardo's Ghost

"Cut, cap and balance" is not a plan.

Why do Republicans allow their leaders to peddle such lies?

Until, and unless, those advocating cut, cap and balance outline:
- precisely what the excess 40% of spending they think the US should not be currently spending is
- what cuts they want to make to federal spending on their pathway to the 18% cap
- what taxes they want to raise to balance the budget at 18%

then it is not, in any sense at all, a plan. Other democratic countries in the world don't put with this nonsense from their leaders, why should Americans?
