The Israel Project (TIP) this week announced the latest expansion of their Capitol Hill Advisory Board, which includes the addition of four GOP Congress members.
In a statement welcoming the new advisors, TIP said of the Board's recent growth:
In addition to the thirteen Members of Congress who joined the Board of Advisors in March, TIP welcomes seven distinguished legislators who have a wealth of experience in foreign affairs, security policy, and communications. TIP appreciates the commitment to Israel and to the dissemination of the facts about Israel by Republicans and Democrats, Senators and Congressmen who join our expanded Advisory Board. Our efforts to educate the press, policy makers and the public can only be enhanced and strengthened by the work of our Advisory Board members.
Joining 11 of their Republican counterparts, the new advisory members include three GOP freshmen: Representatives Renee Ellmers and Allen West, and Senator Mark Kirk, as well as senior Senator Jim Inhofe.
The Israel Project is a non-profit educational organization that "gets facts about Israel and the Middle East to press, public officials and the general public" in an effort to "help protect Israel, reduce anti-Semitism and increase pride in Israel."
