Setting his agenda for 2011, Pennsylvania Senator-elect Pat Toomey says one of his top priorities will be to foster an environment that embraces and maximizes job creation and economic growth.
Speaking about his plans, Senator-elect Toomey said:
I didn't say, for the government to create economic growth and job creation - the government can't do that - but it can create an environment where the private sector can do that and that's gotta be our top priority so that we have the economic recovery that we badly need.
In addition to promoting an atmosphere that is favorable to economic development, Tommey also plans to focus on (like many of his GOP counterparts) cutting the national deficit by tackling out of control spending, cutting earmarks and accounting for unspent stimulus dollars.
