According to a new Fox News survey, Democrats, Republicans and Independents have very different preferences on what they would buy for President Obama this year (except when it comes to fruit cake.)
When faced with three gift options, six out of ten Democrats, a quarter of Republicans, and four in ten Independents would have generously presented the President with “whatever was on his list.”
In contrast, 39% of Republicans, 14% of Independents and 7% of Democrats felt a “lump of coal” was better suited for the country's Commander in Chief.
However, sticking to traditional Christmas gestures with the all-American gift no one actually wants, almost a third of all respondents agreed a fruitcake was the most deserving gift for the President.
The full survey which also polls holiday spirit, re-gifting views and pre-Christmas traditions can be viewed here.
